A rare case report on uterine perforation by levonorgestrel releasing intrauterine device

A levonorgestrel-containing intrauterine contraceptive devices are widely used in contemporary gynaecology, primarily as an effective method for contraception and control of menstrual disorders like menorrhagia dysmenorrhea. case report the uterine perforation by levonorgestrel-releasing device (LNG-IUD) a 33-year-old asymptomatic woman after 18-month insertion. On routine cervical smear examination, LNG-IUD threads were not visualised through os. After abdominal ultrasound scan confirmation perforated was done removed laparoscopically.
